Dearest Karen and Kelly,

I am so sorry to here that your husband/father has passed...I don't know what to say.

Joel is away and I saw all of the cars at your home today and well, again I'm so sorry; I did not know... and here I am right next door.

Please accept our families deepest condolences. I know that this loss must be just so hard for both of you. Please, if there is anything we can do...just ask. karen and kelly,

bummer times but wonderful memories. Chip has added richly to the fabric of my life over the last 43 years. His spirit of caring, sensitivity, and adventure touches lives through me and through all to whom he shared. A dear, dear friend has been taken. Thanks for sharing him with so many people over the years.. I thank my God for Chip's life and pray today that God keeps you two in the peace that surpasses all understanding.

Karen & Kelly:

My prayers are with you and your family at this time of loss.

I would like to remember the happy times we spent together sailing and skiing quite some time ago. As a matter of fact Kelly was only nine or ten when I first met her and all she did was read when we were sailing. I'm sure I wouldn't even recognize her now.

I'll never forget our day of skiing at Killington in the "FOG". The skiing was great but the visibility was non existent. But as always, with everything he did, Joe was gun-ho to get going. That was my first time on Bear Mtn. and was it a bear, especially in the fog.

I know we've drifted apart in the last several years, but my thoughts have gone back to those happy times whenever I'm going through photo albums.

Try and keep the happy times in your hearts, they will help you through the rough times. You have some wonderful memories to remember a great guy by.

As always,

Karen (from "Absolutely")
