TURNAGE, Joseph J., Sr.
Joseph John Turnage, Sr., 55, of Franklin St., Middletown, died Friday March 1, 2013 suddenly at his home. He was born in Middletown, the son of Patricia (Thorp) Turnage of Middletown and the late Herman "Rebel" Turnage. Joe served with the US Navy. Besides his mother, he is survived by his son, Joseph J. Turnage, Jr., of Cromwell; two daughters, Roxann Marie Turnage and Laura Beth Turnage, both of Middletown; two sisters, Patricia A. Duguay, and Kimberly Ann Turnage, both of Middletown; two grandchildren, Akayleb S. Clegg and Addison A. Clegg, both of Middletown. He was predeceased by his brother, H. Michael Turnage.
The Funeral Liturgy will be held Wednesday March 6, at 11 a.m. at St. Francis of Assisi Church, Elm St., Middletown. Burial will be at the convenience of the family. Friends may call at Biega Funeral Home, 3 Silver St., Middletown, Wednesday from 9:30-10:30 a.m. Those who wish may send memorial contributions to Middlesex Habitat for Humanity of CT, Inc., 34 Shunpike Rd., Unit 24-26, Cromwell, CT 06416.
