Joyce M. Kennedy

Joyce M. (Romeo) Kennedy, 84, of Enfield and formerly of East Hartford, entered into eternal rest on Monday, June 5, 2023 in the comfort of her home. She was the loving and devoted wife of 62 years to Ronald K. Kennedy and mother of Timothy Kennedy (Noel) of Enfield and Christopher Kennedy of Manchester, who were the greatest joy of her life. Joyce was born on May 17, 1939 in Hartford, CT, a daughter of the late Joseph and Mary (Roncaioli) Romeo. She grew up in W. Hartford, and was a graduate of Hall H.S., W. Hartford, CT. Before moving to E. Hartford where she resided for 58 years and most recently in Enfield for 3 ½ years, Joyce started her career as a legal assistant with Luby, Murphy & Marsh. After starting a family she decided to stay at home to raise her children. She had various part time jobs during her life, including working for St. Isaac Jogues Church coordinating children's catechism classes and other church functions. She also worked at Landmark Bank and Rita's Hair Design.

Besides her husband and sons, Joyce is also survived by her nieces Lisa Abbott & Mary Riss as well as many other nieces, nephews and cousins. Joyce was also predeceased by her brother Carl Romeo and sister Anna Bilodeau.
