Judie SCOTT Obituary
SCOTT, Judie Ann
Judie Ann Scott, 72, of Avon, formerly of Canton, passed away on Tuesday (November 1, 2011) surrounded by her family. Born in Winsted, daughter of the late John and Elizabeth (Julian) Athorn, she was raised there and moved to Canton where she lived for over 45 years. She was employed the past 17 years at Larsen Ace Hardware in Canton, a job she loved. Judie thoroughly enjoyed the interaction with customers and helping everyone each and every day. She was fiercely devoted and proud of her four sons, Peter A. Scott of NY, NY, Jeffrey V. Scott of Farmington, Christopher J. Scott of Stafford, VA, and Kevin M. Scott, and his wife, Lisa of Las Vegas, NV; and one granddaughter, Emma Fayed. She also leaves a brother, John Athorn of Middletown; a sister, Elizabeth Follert of New Hartford; and three cousins, Genevieve Santagati, Lorraine Johnson and Joan Dadamo. She was predeceased by a sister, Virginia Cook-Hudson.
Her family will receive friends Monday (November 7, 2011) from 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. at the Carmon Funeral Home and Family Center, 301 Country Club Road, Avon, CT. A funeral service will be held Tuesday (Nov., 8, 2011) at 11 a.m. also at Carmon's of Avon. Burial will be at the convenience of the family. To the Scott Family,
Our prayers go out to you all at this very difficult time. Judy was a very special person and always had a kind word and big smile for everyone she talked to.. Judy always made you feel special. I always brought her home made jelly that I had just made and she made me feel like it was the best gift in the world! Judy will be missed terribly, but know she is now a bright star in everyones heart forever. I will miss you everyday judy and you are in my thoughts and prayers,along with your family. My heart goes out to the entire Scott family. Judie was very special to me. I grew up right up the street from the Scott family on Gildersleeve Ave. Your mother was like a second mother to me. Always there with a smile and a hug. I am so very sorry for your loss. Judie was an Angel here on earth to many many people. I spoke with her about three weeks ago and the last words I heard from her were,"I LOVE YOU Sarah" I will cherish those words forever.God bless all of you during this very sad time.
