Julia Lambert Obituary

Julia Nicole Lambert, 26, of West Simsbury, CT, beloved daughter of Wayne and Diane Lambert, passed away peacefully on December 21, 2017 due to complications following heart surgery. Born in Kansas City, MO on Valentine's Day in 1991, Julia was a very kind and compassionate person who cared for many people and also loved all of God's creatures great and small. She was working toward a career that would allow her to work daily with animals. Julia had volunteered in the past with nature centers, a cat shelter, and recently had been an equestrian exercise rider. Julia was a 2009 graduate of Simsbury High School. She received her Associate in Science degree in 2012 from Tunxis Community College and her Bachelor of Arts degree in Ecology and Evolutionary Biology in 2015 from the University of Connecticut. Julia loved to care for her animals, play board and video games with her friends and family, was an ardent Yankees fan, and a whiz at Jeopardy and any kind of animal facts. She loved to learn about old world cultures and history, Japanese culture, and Australia and New Zealand. She was an early reader and was constantly reading a book, taking one with her wherever she went. Julia is survived by her loving parents, her brother, Matthew, maternal grandmother, Lila Boynton Bentley, several aunts, uncles, and cousins. There will be a Celebration of Life service for Julia held at Simsbury United Methodist Church, 799 Hopmeadow Street, Simsbury, CT, on Saturday, February 17, 2018 at 11:00 a.m. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that memorial donations be made in Julia's name to either The Turner Syndrome Society of the U.S. (TSSUS), 11250 West Road, Suite G, Houston, TX 77065 (www.turnersyndrome.org), or to the Connecticut Cat Connection, c/o MaryAnn, 40 Stevens Mill Road, Windsor, CT 06095 (www.ctcatconnection.org). To my sweet and gentle soul, Julia:

You are now with the Angels in Heaven. I'm certain you are still caring for the animals from above. You were in my thoughts today about happy times with your family over on Stratton Brook Road. I had no idea that you had passed from this life to Heaven. I truly believe death is an illusion. You are still alive in my thoughts and in my heart. Please take care of my little kitty, Lady Slipper, whom I lost in 2016. She will help you acclimate to your new home in Paridise. God called you home and took you away from us too soon. You belong in Heaven even though our hearts are breaking here on Earth.

Julia will be truly missed. I cannot express how sad I was to hear of her passing. It was always great to have her visit the state office when I was working with Diane at NRCS. Your family is in my thoughts and prayers during this difficult time.

Dear Wayne and Diane,
It saddened me to read about your daughter in the obituaries. Such a young and caring woman. Born on Valentine's day...my aunt and uncle were also born on Valentine's day.
My thoughts and prayers are with you and your family.
Sincerely,
Dana
