June Arlene Jackopsic

June Arline (Schulze) Jackopsic, 82, of Ellington, wife of the late John Jackopsic, passed away peacefully at her home on Monday, November 18, 2013 with her family at her side. Born in Hartford, the daughter of the late Gilbert and Viola (Robinson) Schulze, she grew up and lived in Broad Brook before moving to Ellington over sixty-five years ago. June was a devoted wife, mother, and grandmother. After retiring from the family business June enjoyed expressing her talent for painting, and reading. She particularly loved the classics, Gone with the Wind, Black Beauty, and Legends of the Fall. From the Kentucky Derby to her novels, June always had a passion for horses. June also enjoyed square dancing. She is survived by her beloved son and daughter-in-law, Gary and Kristina Jackopsic of West Hartford; two grandchildren, John and Olivia Jackopsic, and several nieces and nephews. June was also predeceased by her daughter, Sheri Cardin (2008) and three brothers, Harlan, Paul and Donald. A warm thanks to June's extended family, Arline, Maggie, Tammy, Amanda, Jennifer and the others who helped care for June each day in many special ways. Your dedication will never be forgotten. A heartfelt thanks to Arline and Maggie, "Junie's" heaven sent angels, she loved you dearly. Her family will receive friends for calling hours on Friday, November 22, 2013 from 10:30 a.m. to 12 noon at the Ladd Funeral Home, 19 Ellington Avenue, Rockville with a funeral service beginning at 12 noon. Burial will follow in Willington Hill Cemetery, Willington.
