Kenneth A. Chandler Ph.D.

Kenneth A. Chandler, Ph.D, died Satuday, (May 25, 2002) at Hartford Hospital at age 81. Born in Fitchburg, MA, on February 11, 1921. He was the son of Luther and Cora Chandler. He is predeceased by his wife, Helen Hammond Chandler. Educated at Mount Hermon School and Clark University where he received his B.A., M.A., and Ph.D degrees. Dr. Chandler taught at the Universities of Delaware, Bridgeport and Fairfield. He was a professor of Psychology at Vassar College from 1965 to 1986. He was a veteran of World War II, having served in the European Theater from 1944-1945. He is survived by two daughters, Hilarie Chandler of Boston, MA and Kendra C. Hough of East Hampton; a grandson, Sean Hough; a sister-in-law, Virginia Sullivan of Townsend, MA; and several nieces and nephews. The funeral will be held Thursday, May 30, 1 p.m. at the Badger Funeral Home, 45 School St., Groton, MA. Memorial donations may be made to Northfield - Mount Hermon School, Northfield, MA.
