WHITE, Kenneth Alvah Kenneth Alvah White, 70, of Tolland died Monday, (August 30 2004) at Manchester Memorial Hospital after a courageous battle with cancer. He was the beloved husband of Dorothy (Murzyn) White for nearly 52 years. Mr. White was born in Hartford, the son of Edna (La Doux) Perkins and the late Gilford White. He attended Hartford High School and was a resident of Coventry for many years before moving to Tolland 27 years ago. He most recently worked for Bradco Supply Company, retiring in 1997. He loved to bowl, play golf, fish and spend time with his family, and also enjoyed his time at Foxwoods. Whenever anyone asked for his help, he never said no. He was a kind, loving, selfless husband, father, son, brother, grandfather, uncle and friend. He was the core of his family, both immediate and extended. He was a man of honesty and integrity. In addition to his wife, he leaves his daughters, Anita Reeder of Southborough, MA, Karen Greenleaf of Claremont, NH, Doreen Conrad of Bolton; and a son, Kenneth A. White of Manchester; his sons-in-law, Robert Reeder, Garland Conrad, and Arnie Greenleaf; and his daughter-in-law, Heide White; his mother, Edna Perkins; mother-in-law, Irene Murzyn; his sisters, Shirley Bigelow and Janice Schoen; his granddaughters, Renee Bellavance, Kate Reeder, Stephanie Reeder; his grandsons, Michael White and Stephen White; and many nieces and nephews. He was the brother of the late Joseph White, who died in 1970, and Arthur Bruneau, who died in 2003. He was the grandfather of the late Kayleigh Van Brocklin, who died in 2000. A funeral service will be held Wednesday, September 1, at 7 p.m. at the Coventry Funeral Home, 2665 Boston Tnpk. (Rt. 44), Coventry. Burial will be private. Calling hours will be Wednesday, September 1, 5-7 p.m. just prior to service. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in Kenneth's name to the charity of the donor's choice.
