MATHIEU, Leontine (Bouchard)
Leontine (Bouchard) Mathieu, 79, of Newington passed away on Saturday, (March 3, 2012) at Bel-Air Manor. She was born in Quebec, Canada, daughter of the late Ernest and Josephine (Paradis) Bouchard and has lived in Hartford and Newington for many years and a member of Holy Spirit Church. She was employed by Buckley Convalescent Home for many years prior to her retirement. A loving mother, grandmother and great-grandmother she is survived by her daughter Anne-Marie Mathieu-Simmeck, her husband Dan and their daughter Katrina of Newington, her sons, Donald Mathieu, his wife Anne and their children Maria Mathieu Barton, Christopher Mathieu and great grandchildren Tabitha, Veronica and Bethany. Her son Robert Mathieu, his wife Jackie and their children Charlie, Chyna, Sarah and Jackie. She is also survived by her sisters Doris Parent, Bernice Colbath and her husband Neal, Alice Newbery and her husband Bob, and Fern Chmielecki and her husband Richard. Her special niece Lucille Collin of Cromwell and her former husband Albert Joseph Mathieu of Florida. Leontine was predeceased by her brothers and sisters Albert, Roland, Lionel, Albertine Jeannine and Anita.
Her funeral services will begin on Wednesday, Mar. 7th, 9 a.m. from the Newington Memorial Funeral Home, 20 Bonair Ave., Newington followed by a Mass of Christine Burial at 10 a.m. at Holy Spirit Church, Newington. Burial will be private in Mt. St. Benedict Cemetery, Bloomfield. Relatives and friends are invited to call on Tuesday from 6-8 p.m. at Newington Memorial.
