Loraine Salkauskas Memoriam

LORAINE "MIMI" SALKAUSKAS
Jan. 8, 1945 - Oct. 28, 2002 Mom, it has been 4 years and nothing is the same. I realize more than ever that nothing could ever be the same, no matter how much I try to keep the family together; you are the missing piece, so it can never be put all back together. There's so much we all miss that each year seems even harder. You were the Best Mother, Daughter, Wife, Sister and all time best Mimi. How did you make every thing look so easy? My memories will never fade. We all have our perfect story to share with our children about their unbelievable Mimi who went off to Heaven. I cannot believe how many different things you brought to our lives. It seems like only yesterday and no matter how much we fought, you always made it right. Since that sad day, when you were taken away, I have tried to walk in your shoes the best that I can but no one will ever be able to fill that place, you were one of a kind. Mom you were my best friend, the one person I could always count on, you were my everything. As I look up at the sky and wipe away the many countless tears, I wish with all my heart I could see you for even just one more minute; so you could tell me exactly how you did it. Nothing will be the same, we have lost our direction. As soon as I watched you take your last breath, I knew then my life would be a whole lot different. Miss you more than ever, thinking of you always especially on this very sad day. Love, Tracy

Tracy, I just read your message to your Mom, it was beautiful. I think about Lorraine sometimes and how close you girls were to my girls. Don't give up your Mother will find a way to keep you all together even from where she is in Heaven. She was a wonderful person. Just sending you girls some love from this "Mimi Todaro".

Lots of love to all of you,
Cheryl Todaro
