Lorraine J. Skrabut

Lorraine J. (Dufour) Skrabut, 71 of Tolland, wife of Joseph H. Skrabut, died Sunday, (October 20, 2002) at home. Born July 1, 1923 in Springfield, MA, the daughter of the late Arthur and Catherine (LeMaire) Dufour. She was a communicant of St. Bernard's Church, Rockville. Besides her husband of 51 years, she is survived by two sons and a daughter-in-law, Robert and Marilyn Skrabut of Charlotte, NC, David Skrabut of Rockville; two daughters and a son-in-law, Pamela and Mark Erickson of Enfield; Paula Seeley of Tolland; seven grandchildren, Sara, Ryan, Jessica, Mackenzie, J.D., Alex, and Morgan. A Mass of Christian Burial will be Wednesday, 10 a.m. in St. Bernard's Church, 25 St. Bernard's Terrace, Rockville. Burial will follow in St. Ann's Cemetery, Turners Falls, MA, at 1 p.m. There will be a gathering at the family home at 5 p.m., following the committal service. There are no calling hours. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations in her name may be made to the Alzheimer's Association, 96 Oak St., Hartford, CT 06106, or to the Home & Community Health Services of Enfield, 140 Hazard Ave., Enfield 06082. The family would like to thank Home & Community Health Services of Enfield; with a special thanks to Pat Ripish, Lisa Gagnon and all the other nurses and aides.
