CAYER, Margaret M. (Mulligan)
Margaret M. (Mulligan) Cayer, 82, of Southington, passed away peacefully at her home with her husband of 60 years, Maurice, by her side on Saturday (June 23, 2012). Born October 25, 1929 in Waterbury to the late Clement and Margaret (Bogaert) Mulligan, she had been a longtime Southington resident. Margaret is survived by 10 children: Thomas Cayer and wife Virginia of Southington; Richard Cayer and wife Barbara of Sierra Vista, AZ; David Cayer and wife Cynthia of Wolcott; Marguerite Maddalena of Southington; Edward Cayer and wife Lynn of Naugatuck; Suzanne Cayer of Southington; Paul Cayer and wife Diane of Southington; Jeanne Budarz and husband Mark of South Windsor; Douglas Cayer and wife Shane of Southington and Jeffrey Cayer and wife Jennifer of Lakeland, FL; 28 grandchildren and three great-grandchildren. Margaret graduated from St. Joseph College as a registered nurse. She and her husband were founding members of St. Aloysius Church.
Donations in Margaret's memory may be made to St. Aloysius Church, 254 Burritt St., Plantsville, CT 06479 or the American Macular Degeneration Foundation, P.O. Box 515, Northampton, MA 01061-0515. A Funeral Mass will be held at 10:30 a.m. on Thursday June 28, 2012 at St. Aloysius Church, 254 Burritt St., Plantsville. Burial in St. Thomas Cemetery, Southington will be at the convenience of the family. Calling hours will be held on Wednesday June 27, 2012 from 4-7 p.m. at the Plantsville Funeral Home, 975 S. Peggy is a woman of faith, a great mom, a friend to our family of over 50 years. I send my deepest condolences to Mo and her children and their families. With God she is seeing us perfectly, she is healed of any diseases. Peggy, rest in peace, enjoy life everlasting until we all meet again. I have been blessed to know you in this life.
