Margaret Lundebjerg Obituary
Margaret "Peg" Lundebjerg, 92, formerly of West Hartford, passed away on December 9, 2015 in Southington, CT. She was born September 23, 1923 in Brooklyn, NY. Peg graduated from St. Joseph's College in Brooklyn, NY and received her Masters in Nursing from Yale University. She spent the majority of her career as a school nurse at King Philip Elementary School in West Hartford, CT so that she could have time for her children. Upon retiring, she volunteered at St. Francis Hospital, in the rectory at St. Thomas the Apostle Church, and, with her husband Jim, delivering Meals on Wheels. Peg was pre-deceased by her husband Jim in 1999. She is survived by her children, Mary, Jim, Nancy, and Peter; her grandchildren, Julia, Andrew, Kristen, Barbara, and Katie; and her brother Peter Meagher. Memorial donations can be made in Peg's honor to: St. Joseph's College, 245 Clinton Avenue, Brooklyn, NY 11205, c/o: Carrie Bhada. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 9:00 am on March 19, 2016, at St. Thomas the Apostle Church, 872 Farmington Ave. West Hartford. She will be laid to rest privately in Washington Green Cemetery, Washington, CT. Directions and online expressions of sympathy may be made at www.molloyfuneralhome.com

Mrs. Lundebjerg was a wonderful comfort and dedicated school nurse to all those who made their way to her office for various health issues. Both the students she served and their parents knew that during the school hours, their children were in good care.
May the wonderful memories you have of your mother and grandmother, carry you though this difficult time. Our thought and prayers are with you and your family.

When I last saw Mrs. Lundebjerg, she was dealing with a few problems but never changed her graceful approach. We always had a nice visit.
