Mrs. Kasper was my second grade teacher in 1960. She was a fantastic teacher and person. She would ask my mother about me when they met in the supermarket years afterwards. I will always remember her gentle nature. My memories of her are as fresh in 2004 as they were 44 years ago.

Angels come to earth in many ways----some come as teachers. Mrs Kasper was one of the most lovable teachers you could ever wish for. She really loved children and she showed it by the respect given all her kids. Mrs Kasper had at least 6 of the 8 Sheehan kids at Wilson Street School. Each of us loved her and each of us felt special to her. She was so patient, always encouraging and uplifting to her students. To Mr Kasper and all the family, please know that Mrs Kasper was very much loved and appreciated. The Sheehan family always felt blessed that she was in our lives.
Sleep in the arms of all the other angels Mrs Kasper. All "your kids" send you our love.
With love and caring always-

Mrs Kasper was one of the few teachers that I had during all of my school years that has had a lasting influence on me. I had her for 2nd grade at Wilson Street School. She instilled in me the enthusiasm for reading which I have carried with me my entire life. I won the spelling bee in her class and she gave me a beautiful scarab bracelet which I still have to this day. With her encouragement I was able to stop biting my nails. It's amazing what one can remember from 44 years ago. My deepest sympathies to Mrs. Kasper's family.

Marion was a very special friend in my life who influenced me greatly. I will always remember the kind and respectful way she spoke to me as an adult, not a child, from the very first day I could speak. I was honored to have her in my life.
