PAPAPIETRO, Marion M.
Marion (Meisinger) Papapietro, 90, of Collinsville, formerly of Burlington, widow of Vito Papapietro, died Tuesday (December 11, 2012) at home surrounded by her family. She was born in Waterbury and was a daughter of the late Joseph and Mary (Condon) Meisinger. She worked at the former New Departure during WWII and then worked for the City of Bristol in the Welfare Department for seventeen years. She was a parishioner of St. Joseph Church and was a member of the Ladies Guild of the church for many years. She leaves a daughter and son-in-law, Susan Papapietro and Carter Sutherland of South Windsor; three sons, Jack Papapietro and his partner Debash Chatterjee of Manhattan, NY, Dr. Daniel Papapietro and Margaret Wilson of Collinsville, and Joel and Kathy Papapietro of Plainville; two sisters, Lynn Fink and Alice L. Meisinger both of Bristol; three grandchildren, Donata, Sheri, and Tony; six step grandchildren, Andrew, Alexis, Catherine, Jennifer, Nick and Jesse; one great granddaughter, Kaylee and many nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by a brother, John Meisinger and a sister, Ann Bourgeois. Special thanks to Interim Health Care of Farmington, CT., Elaine Masley, RN, and Kathy Archambault and Debbie Webster for their care and compassion.
The funeral will be held Friday, 9 a.m. from DuPont Funeral Home, 25 Bellevue Ave., Bristol, followed by a mass at 10 a.m. in St. Joseph Church, Bristol. Burial will follow in St. Joseph Cemetery, Bristol. Calling hours will be held Thursday, from 4-8 p.m. at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to St. Joseph Church, 149 Goodwin St., Bristol, CT 06010. Dan, Jack, Joel & Susan - Our deepest sympathies to all of you. Aunt Marion will be missed by us all. We are so happy that we got to spend time with her at the family reunion in September.
