Mark REUSS Obituary

REUSS, Mark E. Mark E. Reuss, 55, of Vernon, formerly of South Windsor, passed away Thursday, (February 10, 2011) in the comfort of his home surrounded by his loving family. He was born in Valparaiso, IN on August 20, 1955 to the late Betty (Gray) Reuss and Ralph E. Reuss. For over 24 years, he was employed as an overnight deliverer for the U.S. Postal Service. Boating and riding his motorcycle were two of his favorite pastimes. Besides his father Ralph E. Reuss and his step-mother Bertha of South Windsor, he leaves his sisters and brother, Barbara R. Strielkauskas and her husband Paul of Lebanon, Cheryl L. Jennings of Vernon, and Eric D. Reuss and his wife Jennifer of Tolland; his nieces and nephews, Rebecca A. and Sarah A. Strielkauskas, Amanda L. and Seth D. Jennings, Ashley A., David E. and Elizabeth H. Reuss; as well as many cousins. Mark was predeceased by his mother, Betty, in 1982. His family will receive friends Wednesday, (Feb. 16th) from 4-7 p.m. at the Samsel & Carmon Funeral Home, 419 Buckland Rd., South Windsor. A Memorial Service will follow at 7 p.m. at the funeral home with Pastor Randall Pekari of Our Savior Lutheran Church of South Windsor officiating.
