Marva Alder Obituary
Marva Lou Alder, 76, of West Hartford, CT passed away Saturday, January 13, 2018 in the Farmington, CT community. She was born in Sneedville, TN on July 28, 1941, a daughter of the late Grant Trent and Ruth Lena Alder. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her aunt, Julia Johnson; uncle, Melvin Johnson; and adoptive parents, Hazel and Ralph Hayter. She was a member of the Marvelous Marva Club, the Captain's Club, and had traveled all over the world. Marva is survived by her sister, Melba Lynn Peters of Bluff City, TN and sister, Rita Devinney; brother Bob Trent; and several nieces, nephews, and cousins. The family will receive friends from 11:00 until 1:00 p.m. Saturday, February 17, 2018 at Blevins Funeral & Cremation Services, 417 Lee St., Bristol, VA. The funeral service will follow at 1:00 p.m. in the funeral home chapel with Pastor Robert Carty and Pastor Steve Price officiating. Music will be provided by Cody Peters. The committal service and interment will follow at Glenwood Cemetery, Bristol, TN. Pallbearers will be Family and Friends.
