Please accept my condolences on the loss of your father. My father Tom O´Brien was a friend of your Dad many, many years ago when we lived on Simsbury Road. I have a vivid memory of going with your Dad and mine down to Wethersfield Cove about 1953. Your Dad had built a small hydroplane speed boat and we helped to get it down to the cove using my Dad´s pickup for what I believe was it´s maiden voyage. The boat was a great success, and I recall your father taking me on a ride around Wethersfield Cove, it was the fastest I´d ever been in any vehicle, much less a real speedboat. I was about 10 years old at the time. I´m glad he lived such a long and wonderful life.
