WANCZYK, Mary (Kulas) Mary (Kulas) Wanczyk, 84, of Wethersfield, beloved wife of the late Edward Wanczyk died Wednesday (January 4, 2006) at a local nursing home. Born in New Britain, daughter of the late Charles and Anna (Potkiz) Kulas, She had lived in Hartford before moving to Wethersfield 21 years ago. Before retiring in 1982 she had been employed at Whitney Chain Company, Hartford. She leaves four sons, Stanley and Georgette Wanczyk of Warwick, RI, Robert and Margarita Wanczyk of Manchester, David and Jeannine Wanczyk of Wethersfield, James and Donna Wanczyk of Southington; six grandchildren Stephen Wanczyk, Christine Wanczyk, Joseph Wanczyk, John and his wife Heather Wanczyk, Edward Wanczyk and Laura Wanczyk. She also leaves a brother Lucian Kulas. The funeral will be held Saturday Jan. 7, 9:15 a.m. from the Carmon-Poquonock Funeral Home, 1816 Poquonock Ave., Poquonock section of Windsor, followed by a Mass of Christian Burial 10 a.m. at St. Joseph Church, Poquonock. Bural will be in St. Joseph Cemetery. Her family will receive friends TODAY 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers memorial donations may be made to a charity of the donor's choice. The family would like to extend their deepest gratitude to the staff at Manchester Manor for their outstanding care.
