Maurice E. Boutin, 73, of Portland and Newington, died Monday, (December 22, 2003) at Middlesex Memorial Hospital. He was the beloved husband of Rose (Richer) Boutin. Born in Colchester, VT, Mr. Boutin lived in Portland for over 40 years and more recently lived in Newington. He was formerly employed by Pratt & Whitney Aircraft Corp., Middletown for over 30 years. Besides his wife, he leaves his five children, Andrew Boutin of Rocky Hill, David Boutin and his wife, Carolyn, Portland, Jeannine Boutin of Newington, William Boutin and his wife, Pamela of Portland, Joyce Calabrese and her husband, Michael of Southington; his daughter-in-law, Katherine Boutin of Newington; his 18 grandchildren; five great grandchildren; his brother, Leonard Boutin of Vermont; his sister, Rita Cote and her husband, John of Vermont; many nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his son, Michael Boutin, two brothers, Albert and Donald Boutin, and his sister, Helena Laneuville. His funeral services will be held Wednesday, 9 a.m. from the Fisette-Batzner Funeral Home, 20 Bonair Ave., Newington, followed by a Mass of Christian Burial, 10 a.m. at St. Mary's Church, Newington. Interment will be in West Meadow Cemetery, Newington. Relatives and friends are invited to call Tuesday, 5-7 p.m. at Fisette-Batzner. Memorial donations may be made to the American Heart Association, 2550 US Highway 1, North Brunswick, NJ 08902.
