Megan Davis, 40, of Granby, passed away on August 14, 2021, at St. Francis Hospital. Megan had a rough start but showed that she was up for the challenges that lay ahead for her and her family. She had a mischievous sense of humor. Despite being non-verbal she made her voice known, like the time she burst out laughing when her bus driver drover past her road on the way home! She would let you know if you chose the wrong music…Megan loved music! She was the youngest of three girls and her sisters adored her and were always coming up with clever ideas for her to enjoy, like creating unique playlists. When they were in charge of Megan one weekend, they took her to a casino and room service was a big hit. Despite her physical limitations, she was able to fly to Florida to visit family, see Disney World and even dip her toes in the Atlantic Ocean! When she was younger, she rode her sister's horse with her and once took a short ride in a glider plane with her dad. Megan had the most excellent teachers over the years from Windsor Locks, Simsbury, and eventually Granby schools and made many friends. She loved taking trips to Boston, The Big E, the Bronx Zoo (where she rode a camel with her teacher!) and of course, shopping trips! In 2002, after graduating from Granby High School, she attended HARC, another integral part of her daily life a few days a week where she made many more friends. For 19 years Megan had a devoted caregiver/honorary family member, Mamie Judkins. We've been so lucky to have her with us. Megan loved being outside, "supervising" Mom's garden chores and enjoying the fresh air and wildlife. She loved when her dad raced her up and down the long hallway of the adaptive house that was specifically designed for her needs. She lived at home her entire life. And who could forget that smile… Megan is survived by her loving and devoted parents, Marilyn & Fred Davis and her sisters, Tracy DeMars and sons Sean and Ben Prior, Tricia DeMars and husband Conrad, as well as many more family and friends. The family will hold a private celebration of her life. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations can be made to HARC, 900 Asylum Ave., Hartford, CT 06105 or to Granby Ambulance, 1 Pegville Road, Granby, CT 06035. Hayes-Huling & Carmon Funeral Home of Granby has care of the arrangements. For condolences, please visit www.carmonfuneralhome.com.

My heart is aching upon hearing about Megan´s passing. Megan had a great personality. She always wanted to be part of the conversation and if you failed to include her she became very vocal about it. Her eyes always lit up when you mentioned ice cream. She will be remembered fondly by me. So sorry for your loss.
