FITZPATRICK, Michael John
Michael John Fitzpatrick, 80, of Ellington, CT died on February 13, 2013 at Woodlake in Tolland. Born in Middletown on June 4, 1932, he was the son of the late John Michael Fitzpatrick and Etta Lucille (Culver) Fitzpatrick. Michael danced into the heart of Nancy (Dailey) Fitzpatrick, and shared 56 years of marriage. He was a U.S. Army veteran of the Korean Conflict. Michael took pride in his strong work ethic, and was a loyal employee with Pratt and Whitney for his entire career. His greatest pride was his wife Nancy and his loving daughter Amy, family meant everything to him. Michael epitomized selflessness and love. He was always there for family and friends and generously gave his time, resources and energy whenever needed. He will be missed by all that were blessed to have him in their lives. He is survived by his loving wife Nancy (Dailey) Fitzpatrick, his beloved daughter Amy Fitzpatrick, his sister, Sister Lucille Fitzpatrick, member of the Religious Teachers Filippini of Trenton, New Jersey, and his nieces, nephews and extended family. He was predeceased by his sister Margaret Carey, his sister in law Lorraine McCarthy and her husband William. The family would like to extend a special Thank You to the staff at Companions and Homemakers and Woodlake at Tolland for their excellent care, kindness and good humor.
