Michael Lamoureux Obituary

Michael Eugene Lamoureux Sr., age 55, passed away peacefully in his sleep during the early morning hours of Tuesday, September 26th, 2023, at Hartford Hospital. He was born on July 9th, 1968, in Mineral Wells, Texas. His family returned to New Britain just before his first birthday. Several years later, his family moved to Berlin, where he resided for most of his life. For the last 9 years of his life, he was a resident of Newington. He graduated from Bentley College in 1990, with a bachelor's degree in finance, and as a proud member of the Sigma Gamma Delta fraternity. He spent most of his career as a Retirement Plan Advisor. He loved to golf, play guitar, listen to rock music (especially The Who), and watch the Dallas Cowboys. More than anything else, he loved spending time with his two sons.

Michael is survived by his two sons, Michael Lamoureux Jr. and Daniel Lamoureux, along with their mother Giustina Lamoureux; his parents, Gene and Joan Lamoureux; his brothers, Brian Lamoureux and his wife Christine, and Kevin Lamoureux and his wife Tara; his nephew and nieces, Justin Lamoureux, Emily Lamoureux, Mya Lamoureux, and Allie Lamoureux; his loving companion Stacey Brooke Schwartz; and numerous aunts, uncles, and cousins, all of whom loved him very much. Michael's kind heart and sense of humor will live on in the memories of his family for years to come.

Calling hours will be on Thursday, October 5, 2023 from 5-7 PM at Erickson-Hansen Funeral Home of Berlin, 111 Chamberlain Highway, Berlin. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Friday, October 6, 2023 at 11:30 AM at St. Paul Church, Kensington. Please meet directly at church. Burial will be at Sacred Heart Cemetery, New Britain immediately following the Mass. Please share a memory of Michael with the family in the online guestbook at www.ericksonhansenberlin.com

Our family knew Mike since he was 5. Tho we have lots of images and memories of him, the family he leaves behind has thousands more to laugh or cry over, and to forever hold in their hearts. We just wish he had more years to be with you all! Heartfelt sympathy to Mike's sons and to Gene, Joan, Brian and Kevin and their families.

My Condolences to Michaels loved ones
I remember rehearsing a song Dan Paquette
and I had wrote
in his garage

Michael was there
And was able in five minutes
play back with his guitar
what we had been thrashing out for weeks
