Mildred Brayman Obituary
Millie graduated from Hillyer College in Hartford, CT, raised her daughters, then returned to her career as Executive Assistant to the Dean of Student Affairs at Central Connecticut State University. Upon her retirement, Millie and Patrick spent their winters in Marco Island, FL, making life long friendships and enjoying their beach walks. Millie and Pat were among the original "Mall Walkers" at Westfarms and could also be seen daily walking throughout the town of Plainville.
Millie was an avid fan of the Boston Red Sox and the University of Connecticut Men's and Women's Basketball teams enjoying endless hours watching their successes. She could be seen in her team sweatshirts on the days they were playing.
Millie is survived by her sister Germaine Barretta of Plainville, CT ; her 3 daughters: Karen and her husband Thomas Forcella of Savannah, GA, Marlyss and her husband Stephen Gage of Savannah, GA and Leslie and her husband Tim Hagerty of Agoura Hills, CA ; her 7 grandchildren and their spouses, Timothy Forcella, Daniel Forcella and his wife Samantha, John Forcella and his wife Brooke, Margaret Gage, Julia Kraus (Gage) and her husband Zach, Alyssa Hagerty and Michael Hagerty; her 3 great grandchildren, Griffin, Kelly, and Everett Forcella; and nieces and nephews of the Dainty Family. In addition to her husband Patrick and her parents, Millie was predeceased by her beautiful daughter Lynell.
The family will hold a private burial at a later time, and wish to thank all friends and loved ones for their love and support over the past few years, as well as Masonic Hospice for their loving care since December of this past year.
She will be recognized at a Sunday Mass at her church St. Patricks in Farmington, CT, on April 23rd and May 14th.
