Dear Janet, Brian, Mark, Meaghan & Krissy~
I just came back from Nancy Baker's memorial mass and I am in total shock. I had found out from Karen that Nancy passed away, I only get the weekend paper so I had no idea.
Janet , I am so ,so sorry about her passing. I know how close you two were and I want you to know my heart aches for you. It's tough loosing a sister but you two were more than sister's, you were best friends.
Always, hold close to your heart the countless times you've shared together and hopefully in time it will bring a smile to your face and not the heart ache you feel now. I'm truly at a lose for words, my deepest sympathy goes out to you and your family's.
Love, Sheila, Michael & the entire Gasper family

She always showed she sincerely cared about you and your family. She was such a warm and loving person. It was a pleasure to know her and I send my deepest sympathy to all of her family at this time.

I had the distinct pleasure of sitting next to Nancy during my final 2 years working in CT. As many have said already: Nancy was a true mentor to the people that worked for her (and adjacent to her).
But first and foremost, Nancy was a dedicated wife and mother. Not one day passed that she did not talk about her beloved family. M,M, & K - you were blessed to have Nancy in your family.
For all that Nancy was, we are better persons for having her with us.
I am saddened to hear of Nancy's passing; she was truly an inspirational lady in many different ways.

Gone too soon. I worked with Nancy and have many special memories of her. There wasn't a day that went by without her starting the day by talking about her kids. Her family always came first no matter what. I truly admired that about Nancy. She adored her children. She had a big heart and was a very warm and caring person. I will miss her. May the family find more peace and strength with each passing day.

My sincere condolences to your family. Nancy was one of my favorite bosses at SNET/SBC. There were many times I would seek her advise in motherhood and as a businesswoman. She was a mentor to me. She took me under her wing. I will never forget the first day we met. We were in a meeting and she made sure we all knew she had no favorites at work because they were Meghan and Chrissy.(her exact words) She spoke very highly of you girls. She loved you girls dearly.(I am sure you know that.) My prayers are with you and your family. She will always be in heart. God Bless..

Auntie Nancy was one of the strongest, most inspirational, and most loving women I have ever encountered. She had a way of making me feel so incredibly special every time I entered her home. I remember our chats while we dried dishes together, I remember her accepting my request that she be my confirmation sponsor, I remember her preparing special dinners whenever we visited, I remember her singing the "Minnie and Me" song to us . . I have so many more wonderful memories that I will cherish forever. I admire her courage and strength and perseverence. Meg, Kris, and Uncle Mark, I love you all. Auntie Nancy, you are so missed and so loved. xoxoxo

I always loved the sound of Nancy's voice. She had such a confident, booming laugh and she could warm a room with her presence. My heart goes out to her daughters (who probably don't remember me babysitting for them so many years ago) and to her husband. Janet, I never think of you without thinking of Nancy, or vice versa...I know first-hand what a special bond sisters share. You are all in my thoughts and prayers.
