Grief never ends.. But it changes .
Its a passage, not a place to stay. grief is not a sign of weakness,
nor a lack of faith ...
It is the price of love.

Every time I was in Ned's company he wasn't just smiling, but beaming. Such energy, talent and creativity, and his kids flourished. He so happily encouraged my own (since successful) path towards becoming an educator I can only imagine his daily presence with his students. Ned burned brightly in his short stay, and such souls are so rare in our journey on Earth. Truly heartfelt sympathy for his family's loss.

My deepest condolences. So young with so much music left to share. His impact on the NFA Marching Band was obvious his impact on the students was a pleasure to watch. He impacted so many young lives in such a positive way. He will be sorely missed but never forgotten.

I remember back in 2007 as a member of the committee to hire a new band director, I sat in a Conference room
as a band parent with 8 others listened to each of the candidates who came for be interviewed.

Ned stood out to me above the rest because he spoke about ear training first and to teach the children the importance of pitch and rhythm.
His first words were about "singing" as the Band director. They needed to feel the tones in their bodies.
I am so very glad that he came to be part of our community in Coventry CT.

A really great young man, musician, teacher, advisor and philosopher with his "special" quotes. A friend.

The kids loved his ingenuity and spotlight on percussion.
He brought new and a younger view of performance techniques and styles like John Cage to Coventry students, family & friends & community. He made the audience get up and participate.

He will so very much be missed in our corner of the world.

NED Made his mark in his short time here as a teacher and friend.

My deepest sympathy and prayers over your grief goes out to you, Aoife,
and to his parents Theresa and Tim and families.

May Our Dear Lord Jesus Christ and our blessed Mother hold Ned in their loving arms especially in this year of Mercy.

Blessings,

Norma Vivar

So sad to hear about the passing of Ned. What a fine young man he was. It was a privilege to have been his 7th grade teacher at St. Patricks. I enjoyed his positive attitude and enthusiasm for the arts and the drama productions that he participated in with us. He was an amazing young man and I am confident that he always made a difference for the better. He will be missed and I am so sorry for your loss.
