BARDECK, Olga (Marra)

Olga (Marra) Bardeck, 91, of East Main St., Middletown, wife of 62 years to the late Walter P. Bardeck, died Wednesday, July 17, 2013 at her home. Olga was born in Middletown, daughter of the late Ciarrio and Mary (Cofrancesco) Marra. Prior to retirement, she worked at the State Hospital and was a buyer for James H. Bunce Company for many years. Olga loved the opera, sewing and making her own clothes. She is survived by her son, Roland Bardeck and his companion Geraldine Griffin of Middletown; a daughter, Eileen Przybysz and her husband Walter of Williamsburg, VA, two grandchildren, Phyllis Jenshak and her husband Brad and Gary Perez, three great-grandchildren, Nichaolas, Bryan and Rebecca and several nieces and nephews. Besides her husband Walter, she is predeceased by two sisters, Elvira Spalone and Viola Marra.
Funeral services will be held Monday at 11 a.m. at the Biega Funeral Home, 3 Silver St., Middletown. Burial will be in St. Sebastian Cemetery. Friends may call at the Biega Funeral Home prior to the service on Monday from 10 to 11 a.m. Those who wish may make memorial contributions to the Local 3918 Memorial Fund sent to the South Fire District, 445 Randolph Rd., Middletown, CT 06457.
