Pamela DaSilva Obituary

Pamela Rose "Pam" (Guyer) DaSilva, 57, loving wife of 35 years to Antonio Fernando "Tony" DaSilva, peacefully passed away after a 3-year battle with cancer, Saturday, January 21, 2023, surrounded by her adored family. Pam was born April 6, 1965, and raised in Hartford, one of five children to the late Leo H. and Barbara (Moyse) Guyer. She attended Hartford Schools, graduating from Hartford High, Class of 1983. Pam and Tony met in their old neighborhood in Hartford and began dating. Their love grew, and they were married in 1988 and moved to Rocky Hill, where they began a family of their own.

Pam loved to cook. Her culinary skills were enjoyed by many family and friends, as well as the students of the CREC School of East Hartford. She was a member of the "Girls Gourmet Club". Pam had many other interests, including bowling, shopping and visiting the casinos to play the slot machines. She was an avid runner, running half marathons every chance she could. She adored her family and the time they shared, especially family beach vacations or just being at home together.

Along with her husband Tony, Pam will be deeply missed and lovingly remembered by her family. She leaves a son, daughter-in-law, and cherished grandson (the light of her life) Cameron, Nicole, and Emmett DaSilva, in Wethersfield; a daughter Morgan DaSilva in Rocky Hill; a brother and sister-in-law, Randy and Mariella Guyer in Rocky Hill; three sisters and two brothers-in-law, Debbie Simao in Ellington, Nancy and Manuel Rodrigues in Rocky Hill, and Linda and Reinaldo Ramos in Wethersfield. She also leaves her two DaSilva sisters-in-law and brother-in-law, Dorinda, Rosa, and Tony, and mother-in-law, Lucinda DaSilva; and numerous nieces and nephews, as well as her beloved dog Bailey. In addition to her parents, Pam was pre-deceased by her father-in-law, Antonio Jose DaSilva, and a brother-in-law, Manny DaSilva.

Friends and relatives may pay their respects to Pam and the DaSilva family at the D'Esopo Funeral Chapel, 277 Folly Brook Blvd, Wethersfield, Thursday, January 26, from 10am – 12pm, at which time a Celebration of Pam's Life will take place with Fr. Michael DeVito officiating. Interment will follow in Cedar Hill Cemetery (Section 38), 453 Fairfield Ave., Hartford. The family requests in lieu of flowers, that memorial contributions be made to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105 or www.stjude.org. Dear DaSilva family-I am so truly sorry for your loss. Pam was such a special person and I will forever be grateful to have had her in my life. She always was smiling and positive. I will treasure our talks from gymnastics and elementary school and the time that our girls shared play dates together. Such a loss, they must have needed an angel in heaven. God Bless you all.
