Patricia Alves

1944 - 2018

Patricia Alves, born on May 25, 1944 in Fall River, MA, passed peacefully on June 17, 2018 at her home in Windsor, where she lived most of her life. Pat was a voracious reader, devouring everything from detective novels to biographies, and was extremely appreciative of the Windsor Public Library. She was feisty, had a quirky sense of humor and was an avid fan of news, political and courtroom TV. For over 34 years Pat worked for the CT State Health Department, retiring in May 1999. She leaves behind her mother Alice Leandro Alves of Windsor, brothers George (Mickey) of Portland, ME; Richard (Sharon) of Willington, CT; Mark of Westhampton, MA; and sister Bobbi (Louis) Juliano of Litchfield, CT. Pat will be greatly missed by her best friend of 43 years, Mary Ann Gates of West Hartford, CT, and her dear friend and loyal penpal of 62 years, Ginny Westcot of Clearwater, FL. She was predeceased by her beloved father George. As was her wish, there will be no calling hours or funeral service. Her ashes will be laid to rest along side her father's, on a clear, dark night in August. Don't forget to signal us from your shooting star, Pat, for we will be looking up.
