Patricia S. Forstrom

Patricia S. Forstrom of Sarasota, Florida passed away peacefully on Friday, November 17, 2023. Pat was born in Hartford, Connecticut on April 20, 1931, the daughter of the late Frances H. Seymour and Marshall L. Seymour, Sr. She grew up in Suffield, Connecticut together with her late brother, Marshall L. Seymour, Jr. Pat graduated from The MacDuffie School and Colby Junior College before earning her B.A. from Skidmore College. After marrying her beloved husband Don in 1953, they settled in Manchester, Connecticut and later relocated to Sarasota, Florida to enjoy their retirement years. During her lifetime Pat enjoyed a variety of interests and hobbies including tennis, golf, skiing, bridge, and UCONN basketball. Pat was very proud of her English heritage, cherished her close-knit family, and was dearly loved by her family and many friends. Pat was preceded in death by her husband (Donald A. Forstrom, Sr.) and is survived by her children Sarah F. Mahnke (George), Donald A. Forstrom, Jr. (Rebecca), Jonathan S. Forstrom, and grandchildren (Harrison Forstrom, Alexandra Forstrom, Christopher Forstrom, Carolyn Forstrom, Christian Mahnke, Allyson Mahnke and Georgia Mahnke). Pat and Don's interment will take place at a later date at the Bridge Street Cemetery in Suffield, Connecticut. Contributions to Pat's memory may be made to the charity of one's choice. Finally, Pat's family would like to thank the staff of the Glenridge in Sarasota, Florida for the ongoing love and care they provided our mother during her final years.
