BARNETT, Paul Foster, Sr.
Paul Foster Barnett, Sr. (Slick), 73, of 630 Blacksburg Highway formerly of Middletown and East Haddam, passed away Monday, (July 22, 2013), at Spartanburg Regional Medical Center. Born in Buffalo, SC, Mr. Barnett was the husband of Edna Williams Barnett of the home and the son of the late Homer Guest Barnett Sr. and Nellie Gray Brewington Barnett. He worked at Axelrod's Tires Mart, Feldspar Mining Corp, Louie Duns, and he did carpentry for many years after that semi-retiring at the age of 71. He was a member of the NRA and the Rifleman Association. In addition to his wife, Mr. Barnett is survived by two sons, Paul Foster Barnett, Jr. and Randy Barnett, both of Blacksburg; two daughters, Paula Anne Barnett Graves of Middletown, and Bonnie Lu Barnett Butler of Gaffney; two step-daughters, Janie Bright of Union, and Clarissa Barnett of Middletown; two sisters, Faye Faircloth and Francis Owens, both of Moodus; two brothers, Erskine Barnett of Florida and Johnny Ray (John Henry) Barnett of Colver, SC; twelve grandchildren and three great-grandchildren. Mr. Barnett was preceded in death by his parents, a son, Terry Gene Barnett, a grandson, Vincent Nicholas Graves, and his great-grandson, Mikeall.
On August 10, 2013 come Celebrate the Life Of Paul Foster Barnett Sr. at 173 Leesville Rd., East Haddam at 12:00.
