PAPP, Peter Peter Papp, 62, of Huntersville, N.C., lost his battle with esophageal cancer and died on Saturday morning, (July 1, 2006) at his home. He was the husband of Karen (Goodenough) Papp. Peter was born in Berlin Germany and came to America in 1949. He was the son of Eva Else Papp and the late Vilmos Josef Papp. Peter enjoyed being an Elk and the many things that the Elks do to help the community. He was also a PER three times. Peter and Karen moved from Winsted, four years ago to Huntersville, NC. Where Peter had been working at Master Power Brakes of Mooresville. Peter leaves his wife, Karen (Goodenough) Papp. He is survived by his two sons, Damon and wife, Heather and son, Jason and wife, Amanda. Peter also leaves his grandsons, Tyler Jason Papp and Boston Thomas Papp and John William Sipper and granddaughter, Ashley Elizabeth Sipper. Peter's grandchildren brought him much joy. Peter is also survived by two brothers, Detlef Papp of Hartford, and George Papp of Colchester; as well as many brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law and nieces and nephews. Funeral Services will be held on Saturday, July 8, at 10 a.m. at The Church of Christ, 800 Main St., Winsted. Interment will follow at The Forest View Cemetery, Winsted. Calling Hours will be held on Thursday, July 6, at the Montano-Shea Funeral Home, 922 Main St., Winsted. From 6-8 p.m. The ELK's Will be performing a special ceremony on Thursday evening during the calling hours. Arrangements are being handled by the Shea Funeral Home, Main Street in Winsted. Calling hours will be on Thursday evening, July 6, from 6 - 8 p.m. Funeral Services will be on Saturday morning, July 8, at 10 a.m. at the Church of Christ at the corner of Main and Spencer Streets in Winsted. Burial will follow the Service at the Forrest View Cemetery.
