Philip G. Roy

1961 - 2023

Philip G. Roy, 61, of Windsor, passed away on Saturday, January 28, 2023. He was born on February 5, 1961, in Manchester, son to the late Napoleon P. and Priscilla (Fournier) Roy.

Phil grew up in Vernon, attended local schools and was a graduate of Rockville High School. After high school, Phil pursued the culinary field where he took various courses and became very talented in the kitchen and in turn, created wonderful dishes for his family and friends. For most of his life, Phil was self-employed as a contractor remodeling homes around Connecticut. In his spare time, he looked forward to riding his motorcycle to great lengths with his brother, Paul, as they visited Laconia, NH, Canada and all parts of New England. He also enjoyed spending time outdoors, camping, and adored his time spent with his furry friend, Zeus.

Phil is survived by his four siblings, Claire Mayo and her husband George of Vernon, Paul Roy and his wife Meachelle of Mount Laurel, NJ, Richard Roy of Canaan and Ralph Roy of New Hampshire as well as numerous nieces, nephews and friends. In addition to his parents, Philip was predeceased by a brother, Ronald Roy; a sister Linda Swanson and his nephew, Jason Roy.

A time of visitation for family and friends will be held on Wednesday, February 8, 2023, from 2-4 p.m. at the Carmon Windsor Funeral Home, 807 Bloomfield Ave., Windsor, with a prayer service to begin at 4 p.m. at the funeral home. Burial will be held privately in St. Bridget Cemetery, Manchester, next to his parents.
