Reeva Ledewitz Obituary

Reeva Greenbaum Ledewitz, 86, of Woodbridge, died Tuesday (April 23, 2002). Born in Hartford, she was the daughter of the late David and Anna Greenbaum; beloved wife of William Ledewitz for 60 years; devoted mother of Fred and Harriet Ledewitz of Bethany, Marty and Cissi Ledewitz of Woodbridge, Debbie Farber of Orange, and Ruth Haendler of Stamford; cherished grandmother of Andy and Carol Ledewitz, Douglas Ledewitz, Mark Ledewitz, Rachel and Ram Gordon, Mindy and Yaron Baitch, Rebecca Ledewitz, Anya Farber, Matthew Farber, Ariel Haendler, and Michael Haendler; proud great grandmother of Michael Baitch and Ariel Gordon; loving sister of Dora, Harold, and Phillip Greenbaum, Lillian Krumholz, Sylvia Novarr and the late Jack and Simon Greenbaum. Mrs. Ledewitz was a life member of Hadassah, past president of the Jesse Sampter Group of Hadassah, a member of Laurel Link, the Westville Synagogue and its Sisterhood. Funeral services at the Robert E. Shure Funeral Home, 543 George St., New Haven, TODAY, 2 p.m., with interment services to follow in the Beth Hamedrosh Cemetery, Brockett Place, East Haven. Memorial contributions may be sent to Hadassah Women's Assoc., the American Heart Assoc., or to the American Cancer Society. A period of mourning will be observed at the family residence, 31 Brookwood Dr., Woodbridge.
