Richard Inman was a skilled engineer with a keen sense of humor. I knew him when we were both retired, serving as volunteers at church and at the Glastonbury Historical Society. For many years the Historical Society was well served by its Facilities Committee, a group primarily of retired Pratt Whitney engineers who maintained and enhanced the Historical Society´s old buildings and grounds. As Richard described it, when the engineers encountered a problem, each of them offered at least one solution different from all the rest, but in the end they were a wonderfully effective group. Richard not only worked with them, he also served well as Vice President and then President of the Society.

Our heart breaks for our best friend over all these years. He was so much fun to be around with his personality and wit and his love of people. You are now at peace my friend but we will miss you always.
