I haven't seen Ricky in decades, yet it appears when I read through all the comments he never changed. He was a wonderful young man. I have many happy memories of spending lazy summer days playing "king of the raft" or volleyball. Ricky's pictures is imprinted in all of them. On behalf of the entire England family, we're sorry for your loss. May God bless you and your entire family.

To The Family, I was very shocked and saddened to hear of Ricky's passing. He was always so pleasant, funny, polite and respectful to me and my son the 25 years I lived in Colchester. His family and friends meant the world to him. He was a big guy with a huge heart Ironically, the fact is he was always smiling but he never really let on that he was in pain. If only we knew. It is very sad and he will be missed by many. With Deep Sympathy, Laurie & Seth

To the LaFlamme Family,
Rickey was a joy in our lives - always with a wave, a smile, an inquiry about family and life. He was a kind, gentle soul who always minimized his suffering. Our condolences to all who will miss him so.

Dear LaFlamme Family,
It is a rare moment when we can say that we have witnessed unconditional love in its purist form. Ricky is one of the kindest and most gentle souls we have ever had the pleasure to know. Even though we did not see Ricky often, he still made us feel as if we held a special place in his heart. A heart that large, with so much love to share will continue providing strength to those left behind in his passing. We cannot express to you how much Ricky was loved and adored by the circle of friends outside your family. What a precious gift, and what a great loss. May you find support in the arms of those who love you at this difficult time.
Fondly, Mike and Vicky Mahoney

Sal and I lived at the Lake throughout much of high school. I remember Ricky being one of the kindest kids I knew back then. He was sweet and gentle and protective of us when some of the other kids were not so kind. We'll always remember him as someone who made us feel welcomed and not like outsiders. There are few like him in the world. And though he's no longer in it, the world's now got another angel to look after those who need him. Godspeed.

To my friends the Laflamme family:

You never know what you’ve got until it’s gone. Ricky was always a good friend even when he was hanging me upside down by my ankles as a kid in school trying to shake the loose change out of my pockets. There was not a more gentle, loving or nice person that I have ever met in my life than Ricky. He was a giant in life to so many but had a heart of gold and was loved by everyone. I’m going to truly miss you. I have the first game of horseshoes when we meet again.

Ricky and family,
my whole life ive known ricky. ive known him as a big teddy bear with a heart of gold. hes gone out of the way to help anyone in any way he could. hes helped me through everything whether it was fixing tractors, problems that ive had, or even just to help make me feel better. he always kept me in line and helped me when i got in trouble. he helped me steer my life in the right direction. Ricky has always treated me like if i was his son and throughout my life ive grown to love and care for him with all my heart. he has been like a father to me in so many ways that i sometimes cant explain. he always taught me right from wrong.i will miss going to the vegetable stand everyday during the summer just to talk with him for an hour or so and i will miss his heartwarming smile every time i see him. i pray for him on a safe and health journey through heaven. Ricky, you are loved by everyone and may the memories of you live in our hearts forever. i love you ricky. you will never be missed.

Dear David, Lisa, Laurie, Mr. and Mrs. LaFlamme

my only memories of Ricky were from my childhood and teens. I remember him as a being much kinder and gentler than his impressive size would convey. He never treated me as the friend of a little brother but rather as a friend. I was never privy to anything except a cheerful outlook and nice guy, even though I was "summer people". I haven't seen him or any of you in several years, but when I think of him (and all of you) I recall endless sunny summer days, swimming and fishing, the smell of freshly mowed lawns, and someone who would never snitch on us.

My thoughts and prayers are with Ricky and all of you.

When I moved to the lake Rick was just 16 yrs. old, I watched him grow {and grow} into the wonderful man he became. Later...he watched as our boys as they grew into men.He always had words of extreme wisdom that he took the time to share with Jay and Trav.{or he would have to tell thier mom}.I think they listened by the way they respected and loved Ricky.
To us Rick is family. He will be missed and remembered with love.
Rick deserves the peace and comfort that only heaven can provide for him now.

Dear LaFlamme Family,
I am very saddened for your loss of Rick. The entries in this guest book speak volumes of how great a man and example he was for many. I admired him alot and valued our friendship even though I haven't been around the lake that much in the past few years. What comes to me are the comforting words of Jesus saying..." Come unto me all you who labor and are burdened and I will give you rest." He also said.."Rejoice and be glad for your reward will be great in heaven" Rick has certainly been a good christian and moral gentleman and has undoubtably taken his place in paradise. God is with you always and especially during this unexplainable and very difficult time.

This is probably one of the few time that I have referred to you as Rick. I am deeply saddened by the fact that you have passed but I believe that you have moved on to a place that will take good care of you. While writing this I can't help but think of the time that I wore your sneakers over mine before the basketball game letting you think you left them at home only to find me wearing them during layups. All I can say is that we had so many great times together and I will cherish the memories forever.

Dear Rose and Dick and family,
I was so sad to hear of Ricky's passing. He was such a wonderful Kid. Debbie thought the world of him and often we would have conversations about him and how he, with all his suffering was such a great human being. May you know that my Heart and prayers are with you With Love, Claudia
