Dear Karen, Doug, Mom and Dad Wilcox and to Dick's wife and children,
I don't know where to start... It feels like I've lost my big brother. My own brother called me only this morning to see if I knew about Dick's passing and if I had seen the story in last Sunday's paper about his extraordinary life. I told him I hadn't on either account. I have read the story and there was so much about Dick that I did not know, having lost track of his life over the last 20 years or so, an extraordinary man he was and he will be missed. I have so many fond memories of him when Karen and I were teenaged best friends growing up. I am so saddened by this news and my deepest sympathies go out to you all and your families.

My deepest sympathies to the Wilcox family. I just learned of Dick's passing and feel like I've lost a member of my own family. I worked many years at the lab and remember how we all worked and played hard. Dick's smile and sense of humor will always be the Light that breaks through this dark cloud. The lives he touched are better for knowing him.

Please accept my heartfelt condolences on the passing of your loved one...he will truly be missed. His smile alone would brighten my day! We worked at MacDougal together and our paths crossed again when I transfered to York CI. He was truly an awesome person, full of love and compassion for his fellow man. When notified of this very sad news, Claire and I were alone at home. Michelle is on a pilgrimage to the holy city of Rome and won't return until late Sunday. However, I will make every effort to contact her in Rome and ask that a Mass be offered up in Dick's memory and for his soul.
Our aquaintance with Dick and Cheryl, although brief, were quite memorable. Claire and I remember fondly the exciting boat ride on the CT River with Dick at the helm and pointing out the sights along our way. Dick was always one for a surprize or two and he always made our visits together funny and enjoyable. We will keep our friend in our daily prayers.
Love, Claire and Mark Kenna

To Earl and family, I was sad to read about the death of Richard. I worked with Richard,Earl, Herb, and Karen at Wilcox Dental Lab from 1969-1975. What a great family that was to work for.We worked many long hours, and had lots of laughs through-out the day, but the work still got done, because Earl was the boss! My thoughts and prayers are with you and your family at this great time of sadness.
