Robert Bartoletti Obituary

Robert E. Bartoletti, 70, of East Hampton, beloved husband of Claire (Couture) Bartoletti passed away peacefully at his home surrounded by his loving family. Born January 10, 1951 in Hartford he was the son of the late Emil and Nell (Valvonis) Bartoletti. Robert was raised in West Hartford and graduated from Conard High School in 1969. He received his Bachelor's Degree from the University of Hartford. Robert had worked as an electrical engineer for Stanadyne Precision Instruments for over 20 years and then for Schneider Electric Motion in Marlborough for 10 years. Besides his wife Claire, he is survived by his three daughters Sarah and Sean Hayes of Glastonbury, Carrie and Jason Anderson of Marlborough, Rachael and Kevin Clavette of Hebron, and his six beloved grandchildren Myles and Reid Hayes, Jack and Ben Anderson and Henry and Roman Clavette. Bob's love of bluegrass led him to become a talented self-taught musician, with a passion for the mandolin. He loved to putter around the house and in his guitar shop where he spent countless hours playing music and tinkering with instruments. He also loved to go boating and fishing, and has patiently taught his daughters and grandchildren to fish as well. Boating with the love of his life Claire was one of his favorite things to do, both fresh and saltwater. They loved to cruise out on the sound and enjoy the salt air and sunshine. Bob and Claire were high school sweethearts, and would be celebrating their 45th anniversary this June. They shared an epic love as best friends and soulmates. Bob had a huge heart and loved his family fiercely. He will be so missed by all of the people in his life. Friends may call at the Spencer Funeral Home 112 Main St. East Hampton on Friday April 30th from 5:00PM until 7:00PM. Funeral services will be private with entombment in Holy Cross Cemetery in Glastonbury. In lieu of flowers memorial donations may be made to The Leukemia And Lymphoma Society at LLS.org/donate. My heartfelt condolences go out to Bob’s loved ones including the Haye’s family from the GYC.
Bob was my luthier. He refretted my Takamine, fixed the electronics on my Telecaster bass, set up my Stratocaster....he did great work and he will be missed....

Bob was a great guy to work with. Mild in his mannerism. May time help heal the wound of his loss.
