Robert Lusignan Obituary



Robert, 80, died peacefully, after a long illness, on Jan.6, 2017, at the Arizona State Veteran's Home in Tucson. He was born, 12-10-36, in Hartford, attending Ste. Anne's and HPHS, and was active in Troop 75. He earned his BS at Uconn. After ROTC he spent his life as a helicopter pilot in the Army and the private sector. He served 24 plus years in the US Army with tours in Korea, Germany and Desert Storm. After flying for various commuter companies, he piloted tourist trips at the Grand Canyon. That was where he met and married Cathrine Bushner. He was also a long time friend of Bill W. He was predeceased by his parents, Arthur G, and Lillian (Lafleur) Lusignan, and his sister Anne (Robert) Pinard. He is survived by his wife of 37 years, Cathy. He also leaves his four children, grand children and great grands. He leaves as well his siblings Arthur (Genevieve), Gertrude Creed, Diane Hofman (Henry), Normand (Sally), along with dozens of nieces, nephews and his God-son, Ric. A Mass of Christian Burial was held in January at Our Lady of the Mountains, 1425 Yaqui, Sierra Vista, AZ., 85650. Interment of his remains will be at Arlington National Cemetery, on Tuesday, Oct. 24, 2017
