LABBE, Ronald

Ronald Labbe, 79, of Hartford, died Sunday (November 10, 2013) at Waterbury Hospital. He was the husband of Martha (Brady) Labbe. Mr. Labbe was born in Hartford, September 3, 1934, son of the late Raoul Labbe and Emma (Goulet) Bolduc. Mr. Labbe attended Hartford public schools and was a U.S. Army Veteran having served during the Korean War. During his service he attended the Military School of Photography. Mr. Labbe was a self employed photographer for many years and also worked in the pest control business. Besides his wife Martha, he is survived by a son, Kenneth R. Labbe and his wife Beverly of Scottsdale, AZ; two daughters, Cherilyn Genovese and her husband Robert of Manchester and Lisa Staron and her partner Sean Gatchell of East Lyme; three grandchildren, Danial, Chelsie, and Ryan; and his great-granddaughter Maci. Three brothers, Phillip Bolduc of New Haven, George Precourt and his wife Alma of Manchester, John Precourt of Plano, TX; and his sister-in-law, Margaret Labbe of Berlin. He was predeceased by his brother, Larry Labbe.
Funeral will be held on Friday November 15 at 9 a.m. from the Murphy Funeral Home, 115 Willow Street, Waterbury to the Basilica of the Immaculate Conception, 74 West Main Street, Waterbury for a Mass at 10 a.m. Burial will be in the State Veterans Cemetery in Middletown at the convenience of the family. Friends may call at the funeral home on Thursday from 4 until 7 p.m. Memorial contributions may be made to: James Donahue Memorial Scholarship Fund, Attn. Ronny, I'll always remember water skiing on the CT river trying to get up before the barge runs over us. Byron and I had a lot of fun with you also playing cards on Sat. nights many years ago. My condolences to your family.
