Rose Mayerowicz

MAYEROWICZ, Rose (Gutterman) Rose (Gutterman) Mayerowicz, 90 years of age, of West Hartford passed away peacefully at home surrounded by her loving family on Monday (March 23, 2009). Born in Lodz, Poland, February 10, 1919, she was a Holocaust survivor, as was her beloved husband, Aron. Rose was predeceased by her husband Aron as well as by her daughter Esther Dansky. She is survived by her daughter, Susan Wiener and her husband Stephen of West Hartford; her son-in-law, Barry Dansky of Fairfield; her grandchildren, Lauren Bober and her husband Marc, Jennifer Gallo and her husband Matthew, Jaime Smolin and her husband Craig, Joshua Wiener and his wife Dana, and Jessica Wiener; and her great-grandchildren, Zoe Bober, Reese Bober, Brooke Gallo and Brett Gallo. The family wishes to express its gratitude to Rose's wonderful care givers, Amma Abrafi and Sandra Assante and to Connecticut VNA Hospice. Funeral services will be held TODAY, Wednesday, March 25, at 1 p.m. at the United Synagogues of Greater Hartford Cemetery, 1361 Berlin Turnpike, Wethersfield. Shiva will be observed Wednesday following the funeral through Thursday evening at the home of her daughter, 68 Bainton Rd., West Hartford.
