Ruth L. Nyberg

NYBERG, Ruth L. Ruth L. Nyberg, 92, of Manchester formerly of Cumberland, RI the wife of the late C. Elmer Nyberg died Thursday (February 7, 2008), at Woodlake at Tolland. She was the daughter of Gustave and Linnea (Olson) Nelson of Swedish decent. Ruth grew up in a family of eight in Rockville. She was active in the family businesses of farming and trucking and spent her married life in Rhode Island. All of her life she was very involved in her church. She actively supported the Campus Crusade for Christ Mission and an orphanage in Sierra Leone. A loving mother, grandmother and great-grandmother, she is survived by her children and their spouses, Pamela and Louis Carpenter of Manchester, and Marc and Deirdre Nyberg of Cumberland, RI; her grandchildren Caitlyn and Christian Carpenter and Isaiah, Elisha, Joshua and Kelby Nyberg; and her great-grandson Aydan. She is also survived by her brother Kenneth Nelson and his wife Phyllis of Cromwell, her sister Greta Carlson and her husband Robert of East Granby, and many nieces and nephews. Besides her husband she was predeceased by her brothers Herbert, Howard and Charles Chilberg and Clifford and Eric Nelson. Funeral service will be held Today at 11 a.m. at Trinity Covenant Church 302 Hackmatack St. Manchester followed by burial in Ellington Center Cemetery, Ellington.
