Was saddened to learn today that Sam's skilled hands and sharp mind have been stilled. He leaves a marvelous legacy of the joy he spread and shared with the many people whose lives he touched, as well as the tangible legacy of his amazingly talented and diverse art work.
I joined his class upon retirement, as a complete novice, at the West Hartford Senior Center, and greatly enjoyed his wit, good humor, talent, guidance and encouragement until he and his beloved wife relocated to VA. Apparently he continued his good work and was surely appreciated there as well.

My late mother, Sylvia Feigenbaum, proudly displayed the many drawings that Mr. Rader made of her in her various "roles" at the W.H. Senior center. I now have them and also having them hanging up in our family room. They are a wonderful reminder of what made my mother the most happiest.
