Scott Erik Elliott, 56, of South Windsor, loving husband of 34 years to Tami (Long) Elliott passed away peacefully on Saturday, August 14, 2021 with his wife and daughters by his side. Scott was born on January 15, 1965 in Hartford, beloved son of Barry and Judith (Mick) Elliott of South Windsor. He grew up in East Hartford, attended local schools and was a graduate of East Hartford High School. He was employed with Travelers Insurance for over 32 years. He was a former member of the Travelers Golf League and The Society of Mayflower Descendants in the State of Connecticut. Scott was a kind and patient man who loved his daughters and spending time with his family on annual vacations to Cape Cod. He was a NASCAR enthusiast, enjoyed going out for ice cream, taking scenic drives and watching airplanes. Scott loved talking about and playing with his golden retriever, Cooper. He was great at giving advice, especially on finance, and always provided a listening ear. He will be greatly missed. In addition to his wife and parents, Scott is survived by his two loved and cherished daughters Mackenzie Elliott of South Windsor and Stephanie Morrison and her husband Kyle of Durham, his sister, Elizabeth Bernard and her husband Andrew of Tolland and their children Ryan and Matthew. Scott also leaves his in-laws Joan Shuttleworth and her husband Rick of Manchester, brother-in-law, Jeffrey Long and his wife Noreen of Hebron and their children Jordan and Morghan and his two uncles Robert Stone and David Stone. Scott was predeceased by his father-in-law Joseph Long and his brother-in-law David Long. Family and friends are welcome to attend a time of visitation at the Samsel & Carmon Funeral Home, 419 Buckland Road in South Windsor on Friday, August 20, 2021 from 5-7 pm. Burial will be private in Center Cemetery, South Windsor. Memorial contributions may be made to the Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation, the American Kidney Fund or to Pack Leaders Rescue of CT.
