Dear LCDR MacDonnell, Mrs. MacDonnell, and Owen,
I am so sorry for the loss of your beloved Sean. I am the wife of a retired CG CDR and learned of Sean's story in June. Since that day, I have prayed that God would extend his life for many more years. Although He had other plans, he gave you a very special son and brother for eight years. For that I am glad for your family. May His peace be with you in the days ahead.
With deep compassion,
Maureen Darmody

My sincere condolences to Owen and his parents. I had the pleasure of working with Sean for several years and he always had a smile on his face. He was a good friend to all others in his class and enjoyed being with his friends. My thoughts and prayers are with Sean's family.

I feel so blessed to have had Sean in my Kindergarten class. He had an infectious smile, a wonderful laugh, and a great sense of humor. I can still hear his booming and energetic voice wish me `good morning´ each day as he ran into class. His wonderful stories would always entertain me and make me laugh. I am sending prayers to his amazing family, especially to his best friend and brother Owen.

I was deeply saddened to hear of Sean´s passing. To his family, especially Owen, I offer my heartfelt and sincere condolences. I was blessed to have been Sean´s music teacher from Preschool through first grade. (Then I retired). His smile lit up the room and his laughter was contagious. He was always so happy with such a positive spirit. He had a beautiful singing voice which is now being heard loud and clear in the angel choruses.
