Shawn Logan Kiefer

Shawn Logan Kiefer, 47, of Torrington, passed away Friday, June 2, 2023, as the result of a bicycle accident in Torrington. Shawn was the daughter of the late Karol (Wolf) Niederfringer and Alan Niederfringer, and stepdaughter to Patty Granger of Avon. Raised in Avon, Shawn graduated from Avon High School in 1993 and had lived in Torrington for the past several years where she has been an active member of her church community as a devoted follower of Jesus. Shawn loved biking and was blessed with incredible musical talent. Shawn is survived by her brother Steven Niederfringer, his wife Rebecca, and nephews Zachary and David; grandparents Penrose and Sallyann Wolf; her Aunt Penny Byrd, and Uncle Penrose and his wife, Kris Wolf; along with numerous cousins. She also leaves her beloved close companion, her cat Jade. A Memorial Mass of Christian Burial will be held Thursday, June 15th, at 10am at St. Martin of Tours Parish Church of the Immaculate Conception, 4 North Street, Norfolk. A Reception will follow Mass at the church. Donations may be made to either St. Jude Children's Research Hospital or to an Animal Shelter of the donor's choice.
