Shreya,
I never knew you as well as I wish I could have, and yet I am a mess right now just thinking about the little time we did get to spend together. Your radiant personality and kindness will never be forgotten and to your family I want to offer my deepest condolences. Hopefully time has made this loss easier but know that it will never be okay. The Raksha Walk is an amazing event and I just want you to know that you inspired it by the way you lived you life everyday. Miss you Shreya.

Shreya -

I miss you sooo much. So much has happened since you have gone. Although, I always tell you what is going on and I can feel you listening which you always did such a beatiful job of, I really miss your resoponse. Its not because you always agreed with me or that we saw eye to eye (even though you were alot shorter than I) but because your thoughts displayed how caring, thoughtful and selfless you were. Not a DAY a single DAY goes by that i don't miss you. You were and are my BEST friend. Before you walked into my life I had never meet anyone I got along with so well and I have yet too! (the amazing thing about you shrey is that so many other people feel the same way). Anyways, I just wanted to write to you and tell you about how i miss you and hearing your voice and laugh. Although, I have not nor never will forget them. I can hear you saying Dude clear as day.

All my love Shrey now and forever,

Last week when I was at Matt Hoff's funeral I spent a lot of time thinking about you Shreya and how it wasn't even a year ago that I was at your funeral too. I was very back and forth at Matt's funeral about whether to be happy that he was no longer in pain or upset for the loss that so many are experiencing for him as we did for you as well. Ellen's mom lightened up the mood by telling us that while she was sitting by Rehka and trying to talk to her about some of the Catholic funeral traditions she said that with a matter-of-fact look on her face Rehka said, "Well at least they'll be together for Halloween." I hope you and Matt have a wonderful time together on Halloween and every day before and after that. I miss you both dearly and always keep you and your families in my deepest regards.
Love Always,

Be Still

Be still like the grass on a melancholy summer day
Be still like desert shrub.

Be calm and you will hear your loved one speak, in the stillness, in the calm, their love resounds.

If you are still this promise I make, you will hear the voice of your loved one helping you along your way.

Shreya, for someone who grew up right under my nose, you grew up far too quickly and have moved on before I could even blink. You touched so many lives in Connecticut, India, Minnesota, Rhode Island, Wisconsin, and who knows where else. We all love you dearly and while we may never see the twinkle in your eye or hear that laugh again, your memories will live on within our hearts forever. Thank you for showering us all with so much love and kindness and giving us so many memories to hold on to. I will always remember you as the baby sister I never had, but always wanted. May your soul rest in peace. Missing you always...

Dear Shreya's family,
I worked with Shreya at Ruby Tuesday Restaurant in Eden Prairie. She was a dear little one! Always a smile and so clever. It's easy to see how she touched the people she met. I am amazed at her accomplishments at only age 19! The world is surely not going to be the same for you without her. I have 3 children of my own and gave them many extra hugs and kisses today. I know that Shreya felt loved and valued. You raised her well and should be proud of her. I pray for peace for you and that you hang on to the wonderful memories that fill your hearts with her spirit.
