Deacon Solomon Baker, 90, of Windsor, beloved husband of Ozella (Hall) Baker for 63 years, passed away, Tuesday September 14, 2021. Born in Buena Vista, GA, October 27, 1930, he was a son of the late Lester and Mary Albert (Hicks) Baker. Honorably discharged from the US Army in 1953, he served in the Korean War. He relocated to Hartford, CT and was employed by Suisman & Blumenthal for many years before retirement and then Stanley Sacks, Inc before moving back to Buena Vista, GA. Besides his wife Ozella Hall Baker of Windsor; he leaves sons Christopher, Aaron Jeffrey Baker (Norenia), and Kevin Maurice (Antonia); devoted God-daughter Tanya Mauree Grant (Gary); 11 grandchildren; 30 greatgrandchildren; 2 greatgreatgrandchildren; and a host of in-laws, nieces, nephews, and friends who will miss him dearly. His family will receive friends Thursday September 23, 2021 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM followed by a Memorial Service at 11:00 AM at the LODGE COMMUNITY CHAPEL 130 Deerfield Road, Windsor followed by Burial at Windsor Veterans Memorial Cemetery with military honors.
