BENESKI, Stanley J.
Stanley J. Beneski, 79, of West Suffield, beloved husband to Sharon (Smith) Beneski for 43 years, passed away, Tuesday, October 1, 2013, at his home, surrounded by his family. Born in Hartford, son of the late Steve and Mary (Skowronski) Beneski, he was a lifelong resident of West Suffield. A graduate of Suffield High School, Stan spent many years in the Connecticut Army National Guard where he was discharged in 1968 as a Captain and was Company Commander of the West Hartford Armory. He had been employed at Kaman Corporation and the Sterling Machine but his first love was operating his Grand Farm in West Suffield. He was an avid golfer and enjoyed driving his red Corvette convertible. Besides his wife Sharon, he leaves sons Daniel Beneski of West Suffield and Barron Beneski and his wife Kathleen of VA; daughters Lori Beneski of Suffield and Kimberly Wynne and her husband Robert of Farmington; three grandchildren Kelley and Chloe Wynne and Sophia Beneski. He was predeceased by a sister Eleanor Pianowski. Stanley's family would like to thank the staff of Home & Community Health Care for the special attention they gave their husband and father.
His family will receive friends Monday, Oct. 7, 2013 from 9-10:30 at the Nicholson & Carmon Funeral Home 443 East Street, Suffield followed by a Mass of Christian Burial 11 a.m. at St. Joseph Church, 140 South Main Street, Suffield. Burial will follow in St. Joseph Cemetery, Suffield. Contributions may be made to the Suffield Ambulance Association, PO 642, Suffield, CT 06078.
