Stefan Guzek

Stefan Guzek, 60, of Hartford, passed away unexpectedly in his home in October. Stefan was born in Preston, Connecticut, the son of the late Thaddeus and Sophie {Kolasa) Guzek. Stefan was raised in Glastonbury and has lived in Hartford for the past couple of decades. He graduated from Glastonbury High School and attended Washington University, Tulane University, and UCONN. CIGNA has employed him for the past 35 years. He is survived by a sister, Regina Randall of California, his niece Terra Toscano, her husband, Moises, and grand-niece Maya of California. He also leaves an aunt in Poland and several cousins in Connecticut, Philadelphia, and Poland.

Stefan was known for his very sharp wit and his unconventional view of the world. He was well-read and could discuss diverse subjects, from classic literature to current pop culture and everything in between. He enjoyed traveling through the Americas, taking photographs, and playing guitar.

Services will be private, and a celebration of his life will be scheduled for the summer.
